WHO WE ARE
Immanuel Lutheran Early Child Childhood Center is a ministry of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Glenview. We are committed to providing safe, educationally excellent, family centered child development rooted in Christ-like love. We are called to serve our community. It begins with a commitment to having an excellent staff. At Immanuel ECC, each child is guided to develop his/her potential in every aspect of life within an encouraging and nurturing environment. We operate our center assuming that each child is an individual and must be allowed to grow and learn at his/her own rate and to develop a healthy self-image. At Immanuel, we will help each child to grow spiritually, emotionally, physically, socially, and intellectually.
We are a ministry of Immanuel Lutheran Church. To learn more, please visit: www.immanuelglenview.org
PROGRAMS
BABY ROSEBUDS: 6 WEEKS - 10 MONTHS
BABY BEGONIAS: 11 MONTH - APPROX. 15 MONTHS
Baby Rooms
Infant care can begin as early as 6 weeks old. At Immanuel Early Childhood Center we have 2 infant rooms to help meet the needs of the various stages that infants go through.
At Immanuel Early Childhood Center our loving, caring infant teachers sing, read, snuggle and walk with your infant. Our infant room teachers provide a consistent and predictable environment and a safe and clean area where your baby can creep, crawl, move, toddle, sit, lay, swing, sleep and walk. Your baby will be rocked and cuddled. They will be spoken to and smiled at. Through these positive interactions, your infant and our caregivers will build a relationship built on trust, which will create an appropriate environment where learning and growth will happen each day.
All infants are allowed to eat and sleep based on their own individual schedules. There are times throughout the day when the infants may be simultaneously eating, sleeping, diapering, and/or playing outside. Diapers will be changed every 2 to 3 hours throughout the day, or as needed when a diaper becomes soiled.
TODDLER TULIPS: APPROX. 15-23 MONTHS
Toddler Room
At Immanuel Early Childhood Center we provide a consistent and predictable environment. Toddlers learn through routines. They need room to explore and get messy. We provide many hands-on experiences for the children to learn and grow. The teachers also do creative art with the children, read, sing, listen to a variety of music, and play on our toddler playground or in our full-size Gymnasium. Through these positive interactions, your toddler will learn about themselves and how to relate to others. Your toddler will be cared for in a positive manner. They will be rocked and cuddled. They will be spoken to and smiled at. Through these interactions, your toddler and our caregivers will build a relationship built on trust, which will create an appropriate environment where learning and growth will happen each day.

Two's Room
Development in the early years is important. children’s brains are still developing and changing. We are here to provide your two-year-old with a safe, loving, clean, age appropriate environment where they can feel free to express their feelings and explore. We involve your two-year-old in activities that concern them, for example; in looking for toys, eating, feeding, diapering/pottying and using language to communicate.
Through positive interactions, your two-year-old will move from dependence to independence in many areas, Two-year-olds need room to perfect their independence.
We respect each child as a unique individual created by God. The twos will attend a weekly chapel service in the church where they will hear a message, sing, and pray with Pastor or the Director of the early childcare center. We incorporate Bible teachings into prayers before snack and lunch; story-time and learning about various themes for example: Noah’s Ark and the story of creation as two examples.
At Immanuel ECC, our teachers always strive to show God’s love in their words and actions.
DAISIES
Three's Room
Most threes and fours are full of energy, eagerness and curiosity. During these years, motor skills are being perfected and creativity and imagination come into everything. Their vocabulary and cognitive skills are increasing rapidly, allowing the child to express ideas, solve problems, and plan ahead. They strive for independence, yet they need reassurance that an adult is available to give assistance, to comfort, or to rescue, if need be. Preschool children strongly believe in their own opinions, and at the same time they are developing some sense of the needs of others and some control over their own behavior.
Through positive interactions the children and teachers will develop a bond of trust. Through this relationship the children will feel comfortable to express their feelings and emotions.

Music with Steven Steinberg
Music Enrichment
My music enrichment program for "all" preschoolers exposes children to music. Each child is provided a variety of instruments that that can participate and sing along with.
Exposing children to music boosts brain development, enhancing language, math, memory, and focus, while also improving motor skills (fine/gross), creativity, social-emotional skills (expression, empathy, teamwork), and overall academic readiness by building neural connections, teaching patterns, and providing a healthy emotional outlet
